Johnson Brigham making anaddress; and at the time of the Boston reimion he lay upon hisdeath bed, writing to the last. He died within a few days; hiswork unfinished, but so far advanced that it was practicable forothers to attempt its completion. How weU this duty has been per-formed by Miss Emma E. Brigham of Boston and her associates, * It is deeply regretted that there is not space to treat herein of the social features of the B. F. A. reunions and to give due credit to the many talented Brighams and others who made them so delightful. Thesewere described in the published report of APPENDIX 563 the present volume attests. C. O. Brigham, the first and last presi-dent of the Association, here greeted his kinsmen for the last time,for he died in May, I906. He is succeeded by Hon. Johnson Brig-ham of Des Moines, State Librarian of Iowa. At this writing, theninth meeting of the Association is called to take place at Marl-boro, Mass., June 6, 1907, when it is expected that The Historyof the Brigham Family will be ready for distribution. In closing this imperfect sketch of a noble organization, itsdiflScult task and its measurable achievement, can more fitting wordsbe used than those of the beloved President C. O.
