Over the door of the club may be seenthe motto, No Women Admitted. Eachwoman has her own theory as to the doingsbehind closed doors, and they seek in variousways to gain an entrance. In reality the menare enjoying themselves with simple masculinepleasures, and chuckling over the intense curiosityof their wives and sweethearts. With the help of Colombina and Arlecchino,and by luring the keys from the pocket ofone of the members, the ladies finally succeedin making an entrance within the sacred walls,and are surprised to find the men enjoyingthemselves harmlessly at dinner.
