Electrical Induction.— When a body, which has become charged with electricity, is brought near another body which has not been electrified it exerts an influence upon that body inducing electricity in it, and if the charge is sufficiently intense and the distance is not too great the electricity will break across from one body to the other, and the act may be accompanied by a flash of light and a report.
