New Climbing Rose, CRIMSON RAMBLER. The plant is of very vigorous growth, making shoots from eight to ten feet during the season, rendering it a charming pillar Rose. The flowers are produced in great pyramidal panicles or trusses, each carrying from thirty to forty blooms, the individual flowers measuring about one to one and a half inches in diameter and remaining perfect on the plant for upwards of two weeks with their freshness of color un- impaired. The foliage is bnght green and glossy, and con- trasts finely with the bright crimson of the flowers. It is said to be exceedingly hardy, having successfully withstood the test in exposed situations of two very severe Winters in Eng- land. We can recommend this novelty in the strongest man- ner as being a new Rose of great importance and value. This Rose received gold medals from the National Rose So- ciety of England, and the National Horticultural Society ol France, the International Horticultural Exposition at Earl':!
