No advertising usage in consumer or trade magazines without prior written approval Antineutron discovery team. Portrait of the four physicists who verified the existence of the anti- neutron in 1956. From left, they are the American Bruce Cork (died 1994 at age 78), Glen Lambertson, William Wenzel and Oreste Piccioni (born in Italy in 1915). They are in the building of the Bevatron Accelerator that they used to create and detect the anti-particle of the neutron. This, along with the discovery of the antiproton, confirmed Dirac's prediction of antimatter. Photographed in 1956 at Berkeley National Laboratory, California, USA. ***** NO ADVERTISING USAGE IN CONSUMER OR TRADE MAGAZINES WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL *****
