Amongother of his benefactions in this direction maybe mentioned his donation of the site of theUnited Brethren church, on his own farm. Withthe assistance of his capable wife he has rearedto lives of exceptional usefulness three sons andtwo daughters, of whom Fred, the oldet son, isa mechanic in Chicago; Bertha, the oldestdaughter, is the wife of Albert Johnson, a farmerliving east of Polo: Mary is the wife of CharlesBaumburger, occupying his fathers farm in. Personally agreeable, ap-proachable and tactful, Mr. Coffman has been aworthy and necessary acquisition to the commun-ity which has witnessed approvingly his risefrom boyhood to mans estate, and his subse-quent elevation to a position of recognized wealthand influence. Too much cannot be said of hisresourcefulness, adaptability, energj- and abilitywhich have brought him success, or of the in-tegrity and fairness which have characterizedhis business and social relations with his fel-low men.
