The flow- ers are large and handsome, moderately double, of splendid substance, and are produced in amazing profusion during the whole of the growing season; in fact, it is always in bloom. The color is fiery crimson, shaded with a dark velvety sheen, a com- bination found in no other Rose. The fragrance of Virginia R. Coxe is unexcelled by that of any other variety under cultivation. It is a strong and sturdy grower, often attaining a height of four or five feet, is perfectly hardy in all sections and is one of the finest of the many splendid Roses that have come to us from Europe, and has won friends wherever grown here in America, which is attested to by the fact that the demand increases each season. HYBRID TEA ROSESâContinaea. Richmond A Gorgeous Crimson Rose. The most gorgeous Rose we have ever seenâno other variety can compare with it. In form and fra- â grance of flower it is simply superb. Wonderfully free blooming, its immense, fragrant, scarlet-crimson flowers are borne on long, stiff stems, making it a rival of American Beauty, and even more dazzling: in appearance. Considered the standard deep crim- son Rose in the florists' shops, selling at all times for high prices. In the garden its flowers are as fine: as those found in the greenhouses. Perfectly hardy.
