The Sun Inn, Lemsford, Hertfordshire. The earliest reference to the inn dates to 1716. At one time cows were kept in an adjoining field, which is now occupied by Mill Close, and fresh milk could be bought by villagers at the back door of the inn. When the Great North Road went through the village the inn catered for the travellers and their horses.
