Engineers working on the CDHS (CERN-Dortmund-Heidelberg-Saclay) neutrino experiment particle detector at CERN (the European particle physics laboratory) near Geneva, Switzerland. The detector consisted of 19 magentised iron modules separated by wire drift chambers and measured 20 metres in length. It was built to study deep inelastic neutrino interactions. The experiment took place between 1976 and 1984.
