After Hurricane Rita in Texas and Louisiana, American Electric Power (AEP) dispatched 918 emergency personnel from 11 US states.
In 2005, an AEP crew from Harlingen, Texas is replacing a utility pole and distribution line at a Vidor, Texas RV campground. AEP helped restore service to 12 counties or Parishes in the two imperiled states.
