A mosque of the Adilshai (of Bijapur) times. The gumbaz at the lower level - An Adilshai's officer Abdul Aziz raising the beautiful arch in memory of his is located at the mouth of a ravine between two rocky hills and surrounds Agastya tirtha water reservoir on the three other sides. It was founded in the 6th century by Pulekeshi I(535-566 AD), the great Chalukya ruler, and remained the capital city of the Chalukyas from 540 until 757.
