While some of these are recent introductions the majority are varieties which have stood out most prominently for several years as the most desirable for either garden decoration or for cutting for house decoration and which prominent position they still hold. All of the varieties listed under this heading will be supplied in dormant field roots of proper planting size. Amun Ra or The Sun God {Giant Decorative). Amun Ra is wonderfully distinct both in color and formation, and while a giant in size is without coarseness, it being perfect in shape. The outer petals of the mam- moth flowers are of gorgeous copper and orange tones shading to gold and amber, deepening in the centre to a dark reddish brown, the effect as a whole being that of a gorgeous sunset. The stems are stout and hold the immense flow- ers well above the strong vigorous plants; the flowers keep for days when cut and last a wonderfully long time on th» plant. A variety that makes a lasting impression on all who see it. each. Cigarette {Hybrid Cactus). This dis- tinct and novel Dahlia attracts more attention in our fields than any other variegated variety. In color it is creamy white heavily edged with pomegrana*e red, but it varies greatly, no two flowers being exactly alike. The petals are long and inclined to roll, forming a large, deep, well-shaped flower of great substance on very long stems of best quality. $ each. r. W. Fellows {Cactus).
