A long knife, Southern German, circa 1510/20 A slender, single-edged blade with fullers on both sides and a slightly broader, double-edged point. The blade marked on one side. Straight hexagonal quillons with fluted finials and a ring guard on the obverse side. Spirally grooved grip with remnants of a fabric grip cover. Cracked at the lower end, some defects. The iron grip cap is finely chiselled with groove and spiral ornamentation.
