Los Angeles, Calif.—The Los An- geles Civic Association petitioned the board of supervisors, June 13, to ap- point a county board of forestry of five members, two of whom shall be women. It has been brought out that a new state law which authorizes the appointment of a forestry board, also authorizes the board to appoint a county forester at a salary not to ex- ceed $150 a month.
