1978 Runswick Bay - Fishing boats known as Cobles pulled up the shore at the Lower village of Runswick Bay beside the Lifeboat Station at Runswick Bay. The Lifeboat Station Runswick Bay was moved to Staithes in 1978 but is still there but run as a volunteer service. It is a popular tourist attraction due to its picturesque cliffside village, stunning coastal walks, fossil hunting and Runswick Sands, a white sand beach.
