White-footed sportive lemur (Lepilemur leucopus) in a tree. All lemurs are endemic to Madagascar, where they evolved in isolation from other primates after Madagascar became geographically isolated from Africa. Many lemur species are becoming increasingly rare due to habitat destruction. This one is also known as the white-footed weasel lemur. It feeds mostly on leaves. Photographed in the Berenty Reserve, Madagascar.
