Emil Schloss, of Schloss Brothers, the well known . dealers in florists' ribbons, will have charge of their ex- hibit at Minneapolis. Arthur Schloss has bought a fine residence at Long Beach, L. I., and is now a commuter. Mr. Schloss has an iiiterestirig family. It was only six weeks ago that the stork called and left the third child. The Lord & Burnham delegation to the Minneapolis convention will be a particularly strong one. The veteran New York 'hia,nager, W. R. Cobb, will attend and he will be ably assisted by Thomas B. De Forest and Victor Morgan, two as clever young men as are to be found anywhere. We learn that during the storm of August 10 damage to the extent of $1,000 was sustained by Siebrecht & Son at their range, New Rochelle. N. Y. At Hackensack, N. J., an immense amount of damage was done by the storm to the street parking and to trees on private estates. Matthew Sampson, Jr., manager of the L. A. Noe department of the New York Cut Flower Co., has gone on a vacation of two weeks. His place is being ably filled by his assistant, Alonzo J. Miller. Alex. M. Westwood, the clever and capable retail florist of the Pennsyl- vania R. R. Terminal in this City, has gone to his old home in Toronto, Canada, for a visit of two weeks. John G.
