The Doolough Valley is a beautiful green valley of sloping mountainsides and a small lake on the valley floo, Connemara, County Mayo, Ireland. It is also the site of the ‘Doolough Tragedy of 1849, that killed many who suffered during the famine. A memorial stands in rememberance of the victims.
