OCEAN (March 29, 2019) - Hull Maintenance Technician 1st Class Cruz Joseph Gutierrez, from San Pedro, California, makes repairs on a piece of berthing equipment aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64), March 29, 2019. Carney, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its sixth patrol in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of regional allies and partners as well as national security interests in Europe and Africa.
