In another of my cases a good raw milk was the food, but it con-tained 7 per cent, of fat, both the deficient breast milk and the rawcows milk on the face of it were denutritional. Rachitis.—]\Iuch has been said as to the connection of rachitis withthis disease. The investigations above referred to show that fully45 per cent, of the cases occurred in infants and children who showedclinically signs of rachitis. Morbid Anatomy.—The morbid anatomy has been carefully andextensively studied by Schoedel, Nauwerck, and Schmorl, whoseresults agree in all essentials. Bones.—The bones in most cases show the changes seen in are disturbances of growth and of bone formation. There isan increase in the width and vascularization of the cartilage are irregularity of the calcification zone, and a pathologicalformation of tissue.
