Utah- Proposed Bears Ears National Monument, an ancient granary sits in an alcove in the serpentine Grand Gulch canyons.
Just before the junction of Bullet Canyon and the Grand Gulch in Cedar Mesa. These are among the oldest structures built by the Ancestral Pueblo people, who settled the area in large numbers prior to 1200 The area still holds cultural significance to all indigenous people of the southwest. Myself as well as other conservationists and hikers wish for the area to be protected under the proposal for Bears Ears National Monument.
