Queen Mother's Garden, Walmer Castle, Deal, Kent, 1998. The garden, seen here, was recently created in her honour. Walmer Castle was built in 1539 as part of a chain of artillery forts to guard the south coast. It is now the official residence of the Warden of the Cinque Ports, currently the Queen Mother.
