Karlstein castle
Karlstein castle was built in 1348 by Charles IV, Roman emperor, as a place for safekeeping of royal treasures. It served also as a residence for the king. Originally gothic, the castle was rebuilt in 16 century in renaissance style, and in neo gothic style in 19 century. Czech Republic.
