The Shiromi kagura performance at the Shiromi Jinja Shinto shrine Festival in Miyazaki Japan Asia
In the shiromi area of Miyazaki the Shinto shrine of Shiromi Jinja was constructed in the 15th the yearly ground festival held at this shrine every December is held the very rare Shiromi kagura performance which depicts an ancient hunt and takes place in a simple garden setting in the center of four oak trees. This festival is held in the hope of making a successful wild boar hunt, and because of its rarity was made an Important Intangible Cultural Property in 1977.
