Prior to his deployment, Serrano had dealt with COVID-19 while working at an intensive care unit. To his family back home, he said, “I love you, and miss you all.” Serrano is ready to provide a helping hand to the community of Detroit. Northern Command, through Army North, remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
