It re-sembles the Vandervere in its appearance, but is asweeter and more juicy fruit; the form is flat, the sizemiddling, the skin a pale yellow, with faint red streakstowards the sun; the flesh tender and sprightly: it ismuch admired as a cooking apple—it makes tolera-bly good cider, but not of the first quality; and is afine table apple. The tree grows large, the leaves areof a pale yellowish green ; it ripens in the fall, andkeeps for several months—it is known by the name ofSeek no farther in the Philadelphia market, where itis a highly popular fruit, in the fall months; it is insome parts of the country, called the Bread andCheese
