Belfast, Northern Ireland. 26th May, 2014. Counting official's take a break during counting at the Kings Hall count centre, Belfast, Northern Ireland, Monday, May 26, Ireland Chief Electoral Officer Graham Shields has said the delays in counting the European election results 'strengthen the case for electronic counting'. He says a decision will be made at 23:00 BST on Monday about whether to carry on overnight or stop and continue on Tuesday. As of 21:30 BST only one MEP, Sinn Fein's Martina Anderson, has been returned.
