Choristers from Ely Cathedral in Cambridgeshire practising for this years pancake race which is held on Shrove Tuesday ( Feb 13) in the cathedral. Choristers have been busy practising for the traditional pancake race at Ely Cathedral in Cambridgeshire tomorrow (Tues). The girls, dressed in their red cassocks, perfected their pancake tossing skills for the annual event in the 12th Century Cathedral. Each year around 20 choristers from the boys' and girls' choirs race down the nave after Evensong to mark Shrove Tuesday. It is the third longest nave in the UK, measuring 75 metres.
