SOUTH CHINA SEA (Oct. 13, 2022) Operations Specialist 2nd Class Daisy Alvarado, from Denver, Colorado, performs radio talker duties during a simulated naval surface fire support drill in the combat information center aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Higgins (DDG 76) while conducting routine operations in the South China Sea, Oct. 13. Higgins is assigned to Commander, Task Force 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the 7th fleet’s principal surface force.
