GULF (Nov. 18, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Matthew Ree and Seaman Austin Dyer, assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94), overhaul a simulated fire on a MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Swamp Foxes of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 74 during a crash and salvage drill. Nitze, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
