Okmeydani, Istanbul, Turkey -- Masses attend the funeral of 15 year old boy shot during Gezi Park protests in Istanbul in June 2014. Berkin Elvan, was shot in the head by the police using tear gas canisters as weapons. He was comatozed for 269 days, and passed away on 11 March 2014, his body decimated to a mere 16 kilos. Upon the news of his death thousands of people of all walks of life took to the streets in nationwide anti-government protests. The funeral procession the next day was attended by thousands, as Berkin's body was taken from the Alevi neighbourhood of Okmeydani, and after a long march, laid to rest in Ferikoy cemetery.
