The spiritual side of the congregation has always been looked after withcare. Various societies helped to keep the religious fervor alive. The oldest Sodality of which there is a record is that of the Holy Rosaryand the Scapular of Mt. Carmel. This was organized when the Jesuits arrivedhere in 1847. Probably it was in existence long before, and only contains the names of members according to townships, but no Officers. Toit belonged men and women, young and old.
