ANIMALS - LION AND FOX Two woodcuts from a late sixteenth century edition of Reynard the Fox. The Lion has been elected to take charge of the arrest of Reynard, who will not behave himself. In the second print, Reynard is dragged up the ladder, to be hanged (needless to say, the wiley fox escapes that fate).
