Queen Anne House, Stapleton, Staten Island, New York
This distinctive example of a QueenAnne-style house was constructed in 1893-98 in the Stapleton Heights section of Staten Island. The residence was designed by Otto Loeffler. It was built for banker William H. Ludlam (1866–1944). He lived here with his wife Fannie until his death. James Whitford designed the enclosed wrap-around porch in 1922. It is in an official New York City landmarked district.
