But few of our readers have had the•leasure of seeing him, for his life has been one of seclusion;lmost on the large farm at Arno, near Sacramento, and dur-ig the past few years at his Pleasanton home. The Valensin Stock Farm is two miles from Pleasanton; he road to it perfectly level; on each side are fields of alfalfa nd grain, vegetable gardens and orchards. Driving in through ie arched gateway, the pretty white residence is seen almost ndden by large cedars.
