The London Lightning defeated the Saint John Mill Rats in the first round of the NBL playoffs.

London Ontario, Canada - March 9, 2012. Tim Ellis (23) of the London Lightning goes up for a basket in game two of their best of three first round, the Ligthning won the first round of the playoffs defeating the Saint John Mill Rats 87-82 in front of a record crowd of 3919 at the John Labatt Centre. The Lightning will now play either the Halifax Rainmen or the Quebec Kebs in the next round that will be a best of five series.
