Lalish, Yazidi Holy city in Northern Iraq - the ritual butch of cattle at the presence of the owner. Meat will be served soon


Many pilgrims carry with them some cattle to feed their family and the guest. Butcher is an important part of the pilgrimage. Every year from 6th to 13th of october, thousand of Yazidis - ancient religion tht have root in zoroastrism - come in Lalish, their Holy City in Kurdistan between Duhok and the iraqi town of Mosul. This year, because the high risk of terrorism, the annual festival in coincidence with the pilgramage was canceled, but many peoples cames anyway. Yazidis are a minority of in Iraqi Kurdistan plus abroad. They claim to be the most ancient religion in the world and that in Lalish was born the first human being
