Netherlands, Province of Drenthe, Balloo on 2022-07-05. Balloerveld, a nature park of flower-filled moorland and sandy expanses, is home to the largest flock of sheep in the province. The first shepherd, Albert Koopman, created the flock in 1981. Since 2001, Marianne van Duinkerken has been Balloo's new shepherdess. Together with the flock, their main role is to manage the Balloerveld landscape, while concentrating on breeding and selling sheep. Photograph by Martin Bertrand. Le premier berger, Albert Koopman, crea le troupeau en 1981. Depuis 2001, Marianne van Duinkerken a pris sa succession et est la nouvelle bergere de Balloo.
