The City of Arts and Sciences is situated at the end of the former riverbed of the river Turia. The river was diverted from the centre to the outskirts of city and the old riverbed was turned into a park running for miles through the centre of Valencia. The City of Arts and Sciences is a cultural and educational and entertainment complex including El Palau de les Arts an opera house and theatre,L'Hemisfèric - an Imax Cinema, Planetarium and Laserium, El Museu de les Ciències - Science Museum, The Agora Sports and entertainment centre and Oceanogràfic - aquariums and sea life centre .
