She now liveswith her sister, Agnes, and brother, Warrand, at Williamsport,Pennsylvania, BIOGRAPHICAL NOTICES. 83 Dickson, Mary, the only daughter of Carlile, Warrand,the first by his first marriage, was born at Paisley on 6 Sept.,1S25. She went to Jamaica with her father, and married therein 1846 an American Presbyterian minister, Rev. James leaving Jamaica for in the autumn of 1853, thevessel in which she was sailing put in at the port of Cienfuegos,in the south of Cuba. She caught fever there and died atsea a few days later, as did also her infant child. She leftfour other children, all of whom are still alive (see Dickson,Elizabeth, Agnes and Warrand Carlile, and McFarren, MaryCarlile). Rev. James Dickson married again, and is still lives in Dickson, Warrand Carlile, the only son of Carlile (Mary)and James Dickson, was born in Jamaica in 1852. He now livesat Williamsport, Pennsylvania, , where he is engaged inbanking business. He is unmarried. Since 1880 he has beenan active worker in the cause of Prohibition (of drinkingsaloons), and in 1882 was associate editor of the Star of Hope,a local temperance journal. He is a member of the FirstCongregational Church at Williamsport.
