EXTRA QUALITY CABBAQE LARGK »b\J* EARLY OX- H MART. For many yearspastlhe true type of this fc valuable cabbage " hasnotbeeu offered by any Amei ican seedsmen. We are proud to say that we are now enabled to offer to our pa- trons the true type of (his long famous and valuable old sort. We pronounce it the very best early cabbage in ex- istence. The heads are nearly twice as large as the Early Jersey Wakefield, often weighing fifteen pounds, and nearly as solid as our Boston Early Hard Head, and of very compact growth It also stands the cold better than many other sorts. The color is a beautiful emerald green, leaves smooth, small ribs, habit vigorous, stem short. Very few outer leaves, thus admitting of close culture, upwards of 12,< 00 can be planted to an acre. Our market-garden friends i\ ill be pleased to know that it does not burst open like the Wake- field. It is pai ticularly well adapted to thin, light soils. This is a great acquisition, as every cabbage grower will at once recognize. Pkt. 10c, K oz. :'< c, 1 oz. 35c, 2 oz. 6cc, % lb. $, lb. $, 2 lbs. $ liOCDKHlJACK'-i ALL YKAR ROUND. This cabbage originated with Daniel Louderback, one of the oldest and most successlulof Philadelphia market gardeners, and has had a great local reputation among his neigh- bors for several yeai s. "It should be classed as a second early variety, com ingin a few dajs later than Early Summer, but it is immeasurably superior to that vai iety ; it is of nearly double the size and is absolutely true to its type under all conditions. Whether for medium early, main crop, or late use, it has no equal. It is so finely bred and so true to type
