A lion's head sabre for cavalry officers., Heavy, deluxe version around 1892. Heavy pipeback blade with yelmen. The upper quarter has gilded floral ornamentation, surrounding a cartouche bearing the crowned cipher "AR" and national coat of arms. Inscribed with "Eisenhauer", and the manufacturer's name, "Weyersberg Kirschbaum Solingen". Acceptance mark "15" with cipher and crown. Gilded knucklebow hilt with crossed sabres on the languet. Finely chiselled lion head pommel with red glass eyes. Sharkskin grip cover with wire winding. Blued iron scabbard (stained). ,
