Representatives from the Michigan State Police Marine Services Team launch their relatively new SAFE Boat (May, 2017, Secure All-around Flotation Equipped), for participation in Operation Shining Star, Sept. 23, 2017 at the staging location and boat launch in St. Ignace, Michigan. The Michigan National Guard, 1437th Multi-Role Bridge Company, Ribbon Bridge pieces are also preparing to launch and will carry the MING 51st Civil Support Team into the Straits of Mackinac during the State Emergency Management / MING 51st exercise.
