Golegã in the Alentejo Region of Portugal is famous for its National Horse Fair which happens in November each year. The famous event is a must-see for horse lovers, especially those who are fond of the Lusitano horses which are native to this region of Portugal. For about ten days the whole town is transformed into a melting-pot of horse displays and activities.
