Long. 17; lat. 17; diam. 11 C. triangularis. Hal.— ? Collect. Cuming et Prime. The shell is triangular, not much inflated, equilateral, and solid. The beaks are prominent. The striae are regular, dis- tant, and raised. The epidermis is of a darkish-brown color and polished. The interior of the valves is of a pinkish-red merging into violet towards the margins. The hinge is strong and broad. The lunula is oval, but not distinct in color from the rest of the shell. Comparing this species with Corb. Lydigiana, we find it to be less inflated, more equilateral, more conical, and transversely less broad, the beaks are also less inflated, and the color of the interior of the valves is different. 34.
