Thorbjoern Jagland, the chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, announced the winner of the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize at a news conference at the Nobel Institute in downtown Oslo, Norway. The award went to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, a United Nations watchdog group, and will be officially presented at an award ceremony at Oslo City Hall on December 10, 2013.
