Methijsia, Butl. Journ. Linn. Soc, p. 397 (1876) Proboscis fully developed ; palpi upturned ; antennae bipectinate, with moderate branches; tibiae with the spurs short; abdomen with the 2nd segment somewhat constricted, the terminal segment with lateral tufts. Fore wing with vein 3 from well before angle of cell; 4, 5 from angle; 6 from upper angle ;, 7,8, 9, 10 stalked ; 11 from cell; the area below submedian fold in male clothed on underside with smooth white scales, with an elongate patch of hairy scaling on medial part of vein 1. Hind wing narrow in male and aborted, the costal area to median nervure clothed with smooth white scales on upperside and the costa curled over ; cell h)ng ; veins 2 and 3 from a point before angle; 4 from 5 just before margin ; 6, 7 on a long stalk. 890.
