The Bonnie purple Heather


The bell shaped flowers give Bell Heather its name. The deep purple flowers form in clusters and flower from May to September. The leaves are in whorls of three. Others from the heath family Ericaceae found in the Park include Ling, Cross-Leaved Heath, Bog Rosemary, Cowberry and Cranberry.
