A thick carrot, five or six inches long and very blunt at the lower extremity. It grows very rapidly, and the root attains a weight of more than a pound. It is tender and of good flavor, and a yariety we can recommend to all market gardeners. Pkt. 5c, oz. 10c, \i lb. 30c, lb. 80c. 4» Improved Short Ulbite We think this distinct variety is destined to take first rank as a field carrot, owing to its enormous productiveness and the ease with which it can be harvested. Roots half long, smooth, very heavy at the shoulder, but tapering regularly to the point; color light green at the crown, pure white below; flesh rich, white, solid, crisp and of excel- lent flavor. This variety is a real acquisi- tion as a heavy yielding, easily harvested, white carrot, and is the best of this class. Pkt. 5c,'oz. 10c, lb. 25c, lb.
