Thegeneral practice of the country is so far behind, that apart fromthe value of the manure, a very large margin of profit isannually sacrificed. Under a proper manag-rment, kibblingcorn, the cutting of hay and straw, are indispensable, effectinga saving of bOl. per cent., whether used in a raw state orsteamed. Oat and Wiieat Straw is recommended, when cut, tobe mixed wiih Oafs for draught horses in particular, and thesame extent of saving is effected, if given to carriage and ridinghorses. Bruised Corn is well known to be more nutritious, andfar more economical than the grain in its natural state, while itputs the horse into finer condition for work,
